At the end of the day when you need a good nights sleep. We have either top of the range memory foam or pocket sprung mattresses on all double & king size beds. So often overlooked in the holiday trade.

The pretty local village, just 2 miles away, hosts a good selection of pubs and eateries, takeaways, deli, bakers, butchers, two mini markets. etc. A coin operated laundry facility is available on-site as is an internet kiosk and free WiFi.

Fishing

We have a Lovely 2.5 acre Lake fully stocked exclusively for our holiday makers fishing. The species stocked are: roach, rudd, tench, bream, all types of carp including crucian, common, ghost and mirror.

The weights are up to 22lbs. Barbless hooks only and landing nets must be used at all times please. All fish must be returned to the water asap. We do not allow keep nets or boilies. We have no bait bans at present, but do reserve the right to impose any, if any problems arise. Bite alarms can be used if turned down low between 10am and 3pm. Fishing is charged at ??5.00 per day per person or ??10.00 for your stay up to 7 days per person.

Please Note: It is your responsibility to ensure anyone 12 years old and over has a rod license, these are available from the environmental agency or the post office.

Chicken Eggs

We have a chicken coop on site in which we keep our chickens.

Feel free to help yourself to some chicken eggs but please only take what you need to leave some for others.

York park and ride

YellowTop Country Park is just 15 minutes away from the best Park and Ride stop (at the designer centre - also a good day out). This is the best way to visit York as parking availability in the city isn't good and parking charges are horrendous.
