It originated as a Trout farm, but progressed the 12 holiday lodges and five fishing lakes that are here today. Perfect to relax & explore Woodalakes is a 15 minute drive from the seaside town of Bude, and a 5 minute drive from the quaint village of Holsworthy; where you will find all the amenities you will need during your stay. This includes supermarkets, tackle shops, and tourist information. Modern lodges with great views Woodalakes consists of 12 pine lodges set in 22 acres of countryside. Each lodge is fully furnished and equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible. All of the lodges are double glazed and fitted with central heating, making them perfect for use all year round. All of the lodges overlook the fishing lakes, whilst offering superb views across the open countryside. A fisherman??s haven. Woodlakes has five lakes, each up to 1.5 acres in size. Fishing is restricted to a maximum of 18 swims on each lake, making it the ideal place for unhurried and uncrowded fishing. Wooda Lakes does not have a closed season, making it a great place for all year round fishing. All of the lakes are very well stocked with Tench, Roach, Bream, and Carp with two of the lakes set aside specifically for Carp ??? some specimens are up to 25 lb (11 kg) in weight. If you fancy a change from fishing at the lakes, there is excellent sea fishing on the coast, and several other day-ticket coarse and game fisheries in the local area
