Welcome to Willowmere Camping & Caravan Park. Our park is an ideal base to tour the beautiful Suffolk/Essex countryside. Sudbury was the birth place of Thomas Gainsborough and the home of Gainsborough House Museum, and shows many of his work.

Willowmere is a small, quiet well kept site sits in attractive surroundings of trees, and neighboring lakes and meres, in the valley of the River Stour in Constable County. Cornard mere is next door, and is a small quite haven for wildlife, which is cared for by the Suffolk wildlife trust.

Our site is a level grass area suitable for tents, caravans, motor-homes, 27 of our 35 pitches offer electric hook-up. Our well maintained toilet block and large showers earn us many compliments from our visitors.

We also have a pond on site which you are free to fish at any time. The local pub is about 400 yards from the site and serves food (The Brook Inn). The River Stour is 400 yards through open fields perfect for dog walks. There is a bus service to Sudbury or Colchester (the oldest record town in Britain) which stops right outside our gate.

Sudbury itself is a market town Thursdays & Saturdays and various farmer markets throughout the year. There is a large library which houses the tourist information. Sudbury has a large park, Belle Vue, and not far from the town center is the Kingfisher Leisure Center. Sudbury also has its own theatre ‘The Quay’ puts on productions and shows films throughout the year. There is a bowling ally and 2 sports centers for different activities eg Tennis, Badminton. Great Cornard sport center half a mile from the site has an outside pool open in summer months.
