Lying on the fringe of the Lake District National Park and only 8 miles from Penrith and the M6, Whitbarrow Hall Caravan Park lies on a level 20 acre site surrounded by unspoilt farming country and is overlooked by the magnificent bulk of Blencathra. In this area of outstanding beauty, hardy breeds of Lakeland sheep graze peacefully on the fellls and peace and tranquility are assured. Ullswater is only 5 miles away, Derwentwater only 9 miles and the whole of the northern lakes is virtually on your doorstep.

The caravan park has been owned and managed by the resident Hopkinson family since the early eighties and we will endeavour to ensure your stay with us is a happy and enjoyable one. The caravan park is open from March to December inclusive and is clean and level with easy access to pitches via well maintained hard roads. There are hard standings and electric hook ups for touring caravans and static pitches available for rent.

As well as the many leisure activities available to you close to the park we also have a large outdoor play area for the younger ones comprising climbing frames, swings and adventure play frames which have either bark or grass bases to act as a soft landings in case of mishaps. There is also plenty of space on the site to play ball games such as football and basketball and a tennis court.

The central building houses a games room with pool table and video games, a cosy and friendly licensed bar and an on site shop where you can buy groceries, diary produce and daily newspapers. The site boasts a modern amenities building with tiled showers and toilets, a separate disabled suite, laundry with washing machine, tumble dryer and deep sinks as well as a kitchen with sinks and cooker.

We sometimes have new and second hand caravans for sale and the prices for ground rent for static caravans is available on application or on the static pitches page. Switch, Visa and Access are accepted at the site office where we also have a large range of Tourism Information brochures to help you plan your time with us. Dogs are welcome on the site but you are asked that they are kept on a lead please.
