Riverside Caravan Park one of the Yorkshire Dales premier Touring and Holiday Home Caravan Sites Close to Ingleton Riverside Caravan Park makes an ideal base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales Forest of Bowland Lakes Morecambe Bay and the Lancashire countryside Nestled on the banks of the River Wenning in an unspoilt and delightful area this beautifully maintained caravan park is within walking distance of the local market town of High Bentham The caravan park has been owned and managed by the Marshall family since the development from a green field site in the late 60s The sheltered level setting straddling the banks of the River Wenning is truly superb screened by trees and natural hillsides with excellent walks along the riverbank and in the surrounding countryside For the more adventurous the Yorkshire Three Peaks which takes in Pen y ghent Whernside and Ingleborough are very close by River Wenning ideal for fishing Many walkers aim to walk all three within 12 hours but of course you can take your time Riverside Caravan Park Yorkshire Dales close to the Forest of Bowland and Lancashire As well as an idyllic location the park boasts modern amenities This is a fantastic family caravan site a very safe and secure environment with 24hour CCTV and a private access road There are are many different trails and walks close by a golf course with fantastic views our own Fishing Lake and childrens adventure park All arrivals and enquiries are looked after at the Reception along with helpful staff to point you in the right direction for days out and local attractions An on site warden is also available for general queries and to handle emergencies Adjacent to the Reception is the Games Room a well prepared safe area for children with a good selection of arcade machines and games Only a few minutes from the caravan park you ll find the delightful Bentham Golf Club The course has been described as the Augusta of The Yorkshire Dales because it is so attractive has outstanding views of the surrounding countryside and features seven ponds Riverside Caravan Park straddles the banks of the River Wenning with fishing rights for approximately 1 mile on both sides The River Wenning is annually stocked in the spring with all sizes of Brown Trout with a good run of salmon and sea trout from the end of July to the close of season We have been involved in conjunction with the Environmental Agency in a stocking programme of sea trout fry.
