Osea is a family-friendly holiday home park nestled on the banks of the Blackwater Estuary which is less than an hours drive from London.
The Blackwater is a world renowned nature site and one of the most ecological areas in Europe, whilst also being close to many family-friendly attractions. Osea has been owned and run by successive generations of our family since 1933, providing holiday home owners with a friendly and hospitable atmosphere, where children can play safely in a secure environment... the perfect getaway retreat.

At Osea our focus is on providing a relaxed placed to unwind.... to be at one with nature. Our landscaped grounds have been awarded the prestigious David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation. It's here you'll find what Professor Bellamy describes as "my favourite wildlife wonderlands" where holiday pleasures come naturally.
Private Beach
From our private beach you have direct access to the river. Additionally, a?plethora of attractions are available locally, to keep you and your family entertained.
The Deckhouse is Oseas entertainment venue providing an array of top class entertainment ranging from showcase entertainment and themed evenings to Line Dancing & bingo. Live entertainment is available most weekends throughout the season in addition to our gala events on bank and school holidays; we cater for all tastes and everyone is welcome, so come along and join the fun.
The relaxing yet contemporary ambiance and decor reflects the beautiful outlook complete with Wi-Fi. The View serves great quality barrista style Italian coffee, homemade cakes, pastries and freshly made sandwiches and Paninis with a selection of alcoholic drinks. Our Beach Huts are rather special; recreating the halcyon days of the Blackwater Estuary and seaside family holidays all with a modern twist. Oseas Beach Huts are much more than garden sheds on stilts, they are engineered and constructed to resist the continual rigors of coastal weather and are low maintenance. Their unique location is absolutely stunning sitting above the water with panoramic views over the Estuary.
Hythe Quay & Promenade Park
The quay, in Maldon is home to a veritable fleet of traditional old Thames sailing barges, many lovingly restored, a magnificent sight in full sail which can be seen daily from Osea Leisure Park.
Tiptree Jam
Award winning and internationally renowned, Wilkins Tiptree Jam first started in 1885.
Still produced at the factory in nearby Tiptree, there is a gift shop and tearoom. Its worth a visit just to smell the delightful aroma of freshly made strawberry jam floating through the air. The farm spreads over 850 acres and some of the strawberry fields run just along the seawall from Osea Leisure Park in nearby Goldhanger.
Colchester Zoo
With over 270 species to see, set in 60 acres of beautiful parkland and lakes, Colchester Zoo is well worth a visit.
Theres plenty to do, whatever the weather, you'll never see it all in a day! There is an underwater tunnel. The Lost Madagascar Express road train, indoor soft play area, many extensive play areas and much more!
Combined Military Museum
There are many items of national importance on display that cannot be seen in any other museum.
It has the largest firearms collection on display in Europe and an extensive Special Forces collection. The Combined Services Military Museum is a local museum. But it deserves national recognition, Patron Lord Paddy Ashdown.
Museum of Power & Steam
This 1920s former pumping station is now home to numerous power-related exhibits, including a magnificent triple-expansion Lilleshall steam engine.
It has a wonderful and fun collection of motor powered gadgets from the past, a model village and miniature steam railway which takes you for a trip around the gardens.
New Hall Vineyard
Award winning New Hall Vineyard is an English Wine Producer with over 65 hectares of vines and is one of the oldest and largest in the Country.
It was first established by the Greenwood family, in the Essex village of Purleigh, back in 1969.
Layer Marney Tower
Regularly visited by Henry VIII and Elizabeth I.
Layer Marney Tower offers stunning parklands, gardens, church, wildlife walk, tea rooms, playground and beautiful historic buildings including the Layer Marney Tower where you can enjoy climbing to the top to admire the panoramic views.
Museum of Maldon
The Museum in The Park exhibits items directly related to the District, whether they are domestic, industrial, natural or manufactured, discovered locally or collected from afar.
The Museum is housed in an Edwardian building, formerly known as the Park Keepers Lodge and stands near the main gate to the Promenade Park.
Mangapps Railway Museum
Mangapps Railway Museum features a line, with restored stations, signal boxes and ancillary equipment removed from various sites throughout East Anglia and beyond.
The Railway has 18 steam and diesel locomotives and over 80 carriages and wagons, some of considerable historic interest.
Beeleigh Abbey & Gardens
Founded in 1180 as a monastery and awarded the Royal Charter by King Richard I.
The abbey is built of stone and clunch, the main fabric of most of the building dates back to 1220. The south timbered wing was built in 1624 and the smaller domestic wing was built in 1912 with gardens leading to the River Chelmer, plus acres of paddock and four stunning ponds.
