About MEDWAY WHARF MARINA

Medway Wharf Marina is a family-run business established by Ivan Dozin and his wife Jacqui over forty years ago. From humble beginnings with a handful of craft, it now has a wet-mooring capacity for 95 craft (35 in the basin, 70 riverside) and hard standing for 40. As well as moorings on both sides of the river, the marina also offers a brokerage service, storage, a slipway, cranage and calor gas facilities.

Ivan and Jacqui's daughter Sally took over the business in 1999, though not much has changed – it's still run by Sally, Stephen, Ivan and Jaqui. “Same ol' faces – it's just that I have to do the paperwork now!” says Sally.

The family prides itself on an easy-going and friendly environment. There's always someone around to lend a hand or offer advice, which is probably why it's such a popular marina.

It's also perfectly situated. Some 9.5 river miles from Tonbridge and 7.5 river miles to Allington Lock, there are seventeen miles of beautiful non-tidal river rich in wildlife. From Allington lock, the river is tidal and so Medway Wharf Marina provides access right out to the Thames Estuary and beyond but with all the advantages of a non-tidal base.

It's also very easy to get to. We're right across the bridge from Wateringbury Station which is a three minute walk. By road, we're just off the A26 between Maidstone & Mereworth in easy reach of the M20 which is less than seven miles away.
