About Hollicarrs Holiday Park

Hollicarrs is a private secure natural sanctuary that is set within 25 acres of the 250 acre woodlands that make up the historic Escrick Park Estate.

All lodges and holiday homes are well spaced and carefully sited to make sure all owners are able to experience the natural beauty and tranquillity of their surroundings. Hollicarrs has excellent transport links both by road or rail and is also very close to the Robin Hood, Doncaster and Leeds Bradford airports.

Although the park is not residential, our 12 month holiday licence lets owners enjoy their holiday home all year round. This means owners can take full advantage of all the wonderful facilities available and simply escape the stresses of day to day life.

Hollicarrs offers a range of Timber Lodges and Holiday Homes with a selection of demonstration lodges sited fully furnished and available for viewing. Our holiday homes vary in size and price which gives potential buyers far more choice when shopping around. Lodges can be tailored to each individual owner's specifications including the overall design of the lodge, decking, interior colour and furnishing.

This means our lodges are luxurious unique in appearance and truly a home away from home set in the exclusive serene surroundings of Hollicarrs.

With a lot of thought put into planning and landscaping each holiday home is privately sited with open views from every angle and plenty of natural sunlight reaching the deck. Come and see for yourself, We always recommend making an appointment to view to allow you plenty of time to view the lodges and take time enjoying the park.

The park is open for viewing and appointments Monday to Saturday: 9 00am to 4 00pm and Sunday: 10 00am until 4 00 pm Facilities.

Hollicarrs provides what ever pace you prefer with an abundance of activities to undertake or you can simply stroll around the park at your own leisurely pace Here are some of the things available.

The Haven Available for park events and also for hire for owner's private functions.

The Bowling Green: A well maintained grass green for expert or beginners play Regular matches and competitions are held with advice always on hand to improve your game. Boules Equipment is available from Reception.

Tennis: The hard tennis court is flood lit enabling play throughout the year Some equipment is available from the reception and tennis coaching can be arranged if required.

Fishing: The fishing lake at Hollicarrs is within easy walking distance of the lodge park and provides a sheltered well stocked lake. Fishing platforms have been designed around the area for easy access including disabled areas for wheelchair users. Fishing competitions for ladies and gents are often held throughout the season and we have good expert advice on hand for those needing a tip or two on how to land the perfect fish. Fishing licence and equipment necessary.

Horse Riding: Horse Riding is available close to Hollicarrs with Naburn Riding Centre and Queen Margaret s Riding School being only a 5 minutes drive away. There is also a local livery opposite the park at Glade Farm who will provide either DIY or full livery. Please contact us for further details Escrick Park horse riding facility provides over 26 miles of off road peaceful hacking for horse and rider. With an optional 45 obstacle jumping course there is adequate riding for every ability. Annual fees are required for use of this course Walking There are nature trails in abundance at Hollicarrs.

Whether you are simply looking for a gentle stroll or a more energetic walk over a longer distance, walking trails have been carefully carved out among the trees around the lodge park leading you through bluebell dells, primrose banks past our bird hide to spot the wildlife and natural ponds teaming with life.

If you prefer to cover a couple of miles why not walk through the woods to Skipwith, Common Nature Reserve a site of special scientific interest. This route takes you past the lovely Norman Church in Skipwith and the Drovers Arms is only a slight detour for a hearty lunch or afternoon tea.

All our nature trails and walks are ideal for walking your dog.

The walking route to Skipwith Common is also suitable for cycles. Cycling Hollicarrs is really well placed for cycling and offers cycles for hire with full recovery option should you be unfortunate enough to get a puncture.

The Sustran's Cycle track is situated only a 1.4 mile away from Hollicarrs offering cycle only routes into Selby Town or the City of York perfect for seeing the area at your pace without any traffic worries.

Nature Wander at your leisure exploring the park on your own and take in the lovely surroundings. Follow the nature trails discover the fishing lake enjoy the wildlife it s hard not to be surprised at the total peace and quiet that surrounds you and the plants birds and nature that exist in close proximity to the holiday homes. Regular nature talks and walks are held on the park lead by Natural England and Mrs Fawcett Escrick Park's Conservation Consultant
