About

About Hillcrest Park

Hillcrest Park is our rural, 6 acre, holiday park in Teesdale. Surrounded by farmland, it offers peace, tranquillity and beautiful views – yet is only 10mins from the A66. It is ideal for walkers, cyclists and dog owners and is close to Richmond, Barnard Castle, High Force Waterfall, Raby Castle and a host of other Dales attractions.

We have a Pathfinder Tuscany for sale, and other plots available for sale on which you can site your own bespoke holiday lodge.

Park Policies

As this is a family-run site, we prefer to keep things informal. However, as a guide for our guests we have produced the following basic Site Rules by which we would appreciate you abide.

1) Pods are available from 2pm until 11am on departure date, unless by prior agreement with us. Pitches from 1pm until 12noon. Cottages check in from 3pm, check out 10am.

2) Tranquillity is a major attraction of the site therefore we kindly request that noise levels are kept to a minimum after 10pm and complete quiet after midnight.

3) Smoking, cooking or open fires are not permitted in the Pods. Nor should any hot items be placed on the timber decking or the benches/tables. BBQs are allowed on the hardstanding provided. The electric sockets may be used for mobile phones, laptops and travel appliances but not ordinary domestic appliances. You are welcome to cook in the kitchen facility in the amenity building.

4) Please keep to designated public footpaths or highways when out walking. It is considered trespass if you enter privately owned land without permission.

5) Dogs should be kept under control at all times and, out of consideration for other site users, dog dirt must be cleared from both the site and the field.

6) There are no refunds for late arrivals/early departures, or for cancellations less than 2 weeks prior to arrival.

7) For fire safety reasons, we need to know how many people are on site so if you are expecting visitors, please notify us beforehand.

8) The site bins are only for waste generated on site.

9) Please familiarise yourself with the fire safety installations around the site, in case of the unlikely event of a fire.

Finally, we reserve the right to ask any guests to leave if we believe their conduct is not in the spirit of the Site Rules.
