200 metres from the pretty village of Hamsterley, this quiet family run park has been enjoyed for nearly 50 years.

It has been attractively landscaped by its resident owners to provide 37 generous sized pitches to accommodate the very latest holiday homes.

The caravan park is open from early march until the end of October. General Pitch fee for the 2015 Season is £1300 for rear pitches (or £1400 for front pitches) to include Local Rates, Water Rates and VAT.

Greenacres Caravan Park is noted for its panoramic views. It is in the fantastic position of been a level site, just a stroll from the village, yet looking across a valley at the beautiful hills beyond. Every pitch has an outstanding view.

Located in Teesdale with easy access to Weardale.

There are no touring caravans on Greenacres.

A warm welcome awaits you here at Greenacres, where we all live and work. We enjoy meeting new people and will enjoy showing you around our beautiful park, introducing you to existing caravan owners and sharing with you the lovely countryside around us.

Born and bred in Teesdale, we are both from local farming families. We know the area well and are happy to share our favourite places and things to do. We live on the edge of Hamsterley, a friendly village with plenty of opportunities to socialise. There is an active village hall, social club and country pub serving meals.

Since 2002, my wife and I have enjoyed developing Greenacres into the established park it has now become. The shrubs look better every year, the landscaping and low growing planting has created a really green and pleasant environment.

I am the first port of call for enquiries and my wife Janet deals with paperwork. I take care of all the outdoor duties including weekly grounds maintenance and repairs. As I am a time served joiner and wood machinist, I am proud to say that I built the caravan verandas myself.

Our daughters Caroline and Zoe are both currently students and enjoy helping out here in their spare time.
