TENTS AND TOURERS

Relax and enjoy the scenery, take walks on the many footpaths or pay a visit to the house and grounds whilst camping or caravanning at Castle Howard's Lakeside Holiday Park.

We have a dedicated area for tents and hard-standings for caravans and motorhomes.

Our onsite facilities include an amenities block with WCs, showers and sinks, coin-operated hair dryers and a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Castle Howard Lakeside Holiday Park is open from 1 March until 31 October and is suitable for families and groups.

FACILITIES

- Central Heated toilet blocks : We have a centrally heated amenities block with free toilets, hot showers, sinks and coin-operated hair dryer. There is fresh water available as well as grey waste and ELSAN disposal.

- Children's Play Area : There is a plenty of space for children to play, and they are welcome to play on site with consideration for others. Ball games are permitted in designated areas, please ask staff for details.

- Dog Exercise Field : We have a designated dog-walking area. Owners should pick up after their dog. Dog owners can also enjoy the many footpaths and bridleways on the estate and dogs are welcome in the Castle Howard grounds.

-Gas Sales : Gas is not available to buy on site; the nearest retailer is in Malton, approximately five miles away. Please ask staff for directions.

-Laundrette : We have a coin-operated washing machine and dryer.

-Licensed Shop : We do not have a shop on site, but Castle Howard Farm Shop is just a short drive away. Here you can pick up everyday groceries, fresh bread and homemade cakes, meat for the barbecue, as well as beers and wines. Open daily 10am to 5pm ??? admission free.

TRANSPORT TO LAKESIDE HOLIDAY PARK

-Local Bus service : There is a bus service that runs between the Lakeside Holiday Park and Malton twice a day, operated by Stephensons of Easingwold

- Public Telephones : There is a public telephone in Coneysthorpe, just a short walk from the site. Mobile phone reception is limited in the area.

- Wifi Access : We regret that we do not have wifi available.
