Burrowhead Holiday Village is a beautiful family owned holiday park, designed for tent, motorhome, lodge and caravan holidays in Scotland. It is set in a remote location on the Dumfries and Galloway coast. All of the touring and motorhome pitches benefit from electric hook up. Additional facilities available for guests to use during their stay include sanitary blocks, a laundrette, washing up area, and a chemical waste disposal point. The site has a private water supply, with taps available across the park. Unless you're used to the local water, it's probably best to boil it before drinking, or stock up on bottled water.

A family bar (with free wifi) and café facility found at Burrowhead Holiday Village means you will always be able to pick up something to eat and drink, while the on-site shop is well-stocked with a variety of goods for self-catering. There's a takeaway food option at the holiday park, too.

There are plenty of activities offered at the site to keep the whole family entertained during a stay at Burrowhead Holiday Village. For younger guests there is a fun play area, crazy golf, amusement arcade, a soft play area and a ball pool playroom. The heated outdoor swimming pool is always popular with guests young and old, with a toddler splash pool and fun slide on hand for little ones. Pitch and putt golf and a putting green are also found at the site, while for adults there is an indoor Jacuzzi and sauna, a snooker room complete with licensed bar, and an adults only function room.

Away from the park, you must visit the nearby beaches. If you enjoy sea fishing, it's worth knowing that this is permitted off the rocks at Burrowhead or at the local beaches and it's a popular pursuit undertaken by many guests staying at the park.

Guests looking to travel inland or further around the coast can enjoy beautiful countryside walks, with ancient ruins and much more to be discovered, or hop in the car and discover the quaint fishing villages that are found across Dumfries and Galloway.

Visit Stranraer, the nearest major town, which is found 30 miles away and is home to some great shops as well as museums, art galleries, and various other attractions. If you're feeling adventurous, you could also take the ferry to Northern Ireland from Stranraer for a short break within your holiday.
