A Beetham Holiday Home will provide you with a secluded retreat in a beautiful setting. Our static caravan park is full of hedgerow birds, owl’s, birds of prey, wild deer, orchids and butterflies. It will be a relaxing haven for you to be in touch with nature.
From here you have the ideal base to explore the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Beetham is easy to get to and in easy reach of the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Forest of Bowland the coast and other parts of Cumbria, Lancashire and North Yorkshire.
The tranquillity and relaxing atmosphere of the park is what owners and visitors most enjoy. A holiday home on the park provides the place to ‘get away from it all’, and the base to enjoy local walking, golf, wildlife watching, fishing, cycling or arts and crafts.
Beetham Holiday Homes has been acknowledged as one of the best caravan parks in the country.
Luxury Static Caravan Park in the Lakes
The park has been carefully developed over the last forty four years by the Russell family, to incorporate the natural features of indigenous woodland, meadows and limestone pavements. With ongoing careful conservation of the natural landscape, plants and animals, we seek to preserve and help develop appreciation of the natural beauty of the park. Families and children are very welcome. There is a playground, set away from holiday homes, and a dedicated area especially for ball games and children’s activities on the park.
The park warden and his family live on the park and he is available to arrange the practical requirements you may have. The staff and management aim to provide the highest standards in relation to customer service.
It is a great place for those who enjoy walks with their dogs, both around the park and in the surrounding woodlands.
Every pitch on the park has a secluded naturally hedged patio or deck and views to woodland, splendid trees or open meadow. The privacy and very natural character of each pitch is what often surprises the visitor, and is what those with holiday homes here most value.
The park is set in woodland of mature oaks and yews, spindle berry, buckthorn and coppiced hazel. There are an abundance of wild flowers, including several species of orchid, wild roses and carpets of English bluebells and lily of the valley in the spring. The numerous pheasant will feed from the hand and many rarer birds have been seen here, including, hawfinches, marsh and hen harriers, osprey, barn owls, woodcock and jacksnipe. Fallow deer roam across the park, and red and roe deer are in the surrounding wood, together with foxes, squirrels, rabbits and amphibians.
There is a wide variety of friendly pubs and great restaurants in the area, as well as fantastic locations for all ages to enjoy. (link to Local Area Page). The park is open for 46 weeks a year, closing 7th January to 18th Febuary.
To make the most of the peace and quiet in this natural haven we have deliberately sought not to develop a pool, on-site bar or café.
It is off the beaten track and every pitch is very secluded and private. We do run park socials, walking and cycling trips, and art and craft courses for those who want to join in.
Nature lovers soon fall in love with the park.We work in partnership with the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and also the nearby RSPB’s Leighton Moss bird and wildlife sanctuary, in their aims to conserve and enhance this outstanding landscape now and for the future.
