Roy and Hilda Butler invite you to their caravan and camping park situated on the picturesque North East Coast of the Ards Peninsula Co Down Northern Ireland overlooking the sea An ideal location for a relaxing break convenient for walking swimming golfing sailing horse riding and many other attractions Pets welcome Our park has a large number of static caravan pitches however we offer a separate area for touring caravans and tents At Ballywhiskin we provide all the facilities you come to expect from a great Caravan Park including Hot Food Bar available evenings in high season A small on site shop Animal farm with a lot of animals chicken ducks goats There is a new laundry on site washing machines dryer and sink Children s play park for the under 12 s with climbing frame slide and adventure bridge with a safe sand base New Toilet Shower block built opened 2009 WIFI available Touring Facilities We are one of the only touring camp sites that offers space for tents A water and drainage point is situated at one end of the touring area close to the toilet and shower facilities together with a chemical disposal point Tokens for the washing machines and dryers are available from the Site Warden There is a grassed area for the use of campers The park has facilities for 17 tourers all with hard standing and electric At the animal farm we have over more than 20 different animals We have ducks chickens and peacocks and goats too Together with the people who work on our camping site you can feed the animals in the morning and in the evening time You ll be sure to make plenty of friends at Ballywhiskin and want to return again and again Ballywhiskin Caravan and Camping Park is conveniently located for visits to local attractions such as The Exploris Aquarium in Portaferry Mount Stewart National Trust Properly The Ulster Folk and Transport Museum in Cultra or the Somme Heritage Centre in Newtownards and within easy driving distance of Bangor and Newtownards with their associated shopping and leisure centres Why not have a family day out in Bangor take a stroll around the Marina to the Pickie Fun Park County Down also boasts a number of award winning golf courses a number of which are within a short drive of the Park both north towards Donaghadee and south towards Cloughey
